Party Space Rental in Brooklyn — The Elliott Room
The Elliott Room is set inside the landmark First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn, built in 1847, designed by William B. Olmstead. Original hardwood floors, Tiffany-stained glass, a wall of windows, and a tree-lined courtyard are just a few of the features of this historic property.
A milestone birthday. A company gathering. A creative pop-up. A cocktail party that deserves a better room than the usual options. Whatever you're planning here, the room arrives with a century and a half of character already built in. The architecture does a lot of the work.
What The Space Is Used ForPrivate Event Rentals
Every rental is exclusive: one event per day, no exceptions. You get 14 hours of setup, event, and breakdown, beginning at 10am (flexible). The booking includes:
the main event space,
the Thurman Library,
back-of-house space,
a foyer area,
the tree-lined outdoor courtyard,
and a catering prep kitchen with commercial-grade appliances.
Dimmable ambient lighting runs throughout the indoor space. An event manager is on-site for walkthroughs, setup, the event, and breakdown.
The room seats up to 100 for a seated dinner with dancing, or up to 150 for a cocktail-style event. The courtyard extends the footprint for ceremonies, cocktail hours, or simply giving guests room to move.
Corporate Events
The space adapts well to off-sites, panel discussions, award receptions, and networking events. High ceilings and a full wall of windows make daytime workshops feel open and well-lit. Evening presentations and team meetings or sessions take on a different character. The ceiling height and warm light do something a conference room can't. Seating can easily be arranged for classroom-style, boardroom-style, or open cocktail networking.
There's no in-house A/V, so your production team brings their own sound and projection equipment. The layout accommodates flexible staging. The building is located steps from several subway lines, with nearby parking garages for those driving, and is also a short stroll from a main ferry landing.
Birthday Parties and Celebrations
A room with 177 years of history makes a milestone feel like one. The Elliott Room hosts birthdays, anniversaries, and celebrations of every kind: seated dinners for 100, cocktail receptions for 150, or a layered format that moves from cocktail hour in the courtyard to dinner and dancing inside. Your vendors are yours to choose. The team is happy to make recommendations if you need them.
Photo Shoots, Pop-Ups, and Creative Events
The natural light here is the reason photographers keep coming back. The full wall of windows, gold-framed mirrors, and warm timber floors photograph well at any hour. The space is perfect for brand activations, product launches, art exhibitions, pop-up shops, and film productions. There is also a prep kitchen to streamline production logistics. Inquire about day-use rates if a full 14-hour block isn't what you need.
Holiday Parties and Seasonal Events
The courtyard shifts with the seasons: string lights in autumn, bare branches in winter, something quietly beautiful either way. Indoor lighting is warm and dimmable throughout. The room works just as well for a winter dinner under low light as it does for a springtime gallery opening that spills outside. Holiday dates book early; if you have a season in mind, reach out.
Why People Book The Elliott Room
The short answer: because nothing about it was built to formula.
The building itself is the design. Tiffany stained glass, original wood floors, gold-framed mirrors, Gothic Revival ceilings — these aren't decorative additions. They're what the room is made of. You're not renting a blank box and filling it with atmosphere.
The light is exceptional. A full wall of windows gives the room soft, natural light that photographers consistently cite. Golden-hour ceremonies here are something else entirely.
It's exclusively yours. One event per day, no shared lobbies, no adjacent receptions. The building is yours for 14 hours. With the option to add overtime if needed.
The neighborhood earns its place in the day and night with local restaurants and bars surrounding the area. Brooklyn Heights is one of New York's most beautiful neighborhoods — cobblestone streets, the water front Promenade, views of the Manhattan skyline. Your guests aren't just arriving at a venue; they're arriving somewhere.
The logistics are honest. Transparent pricing starting at $3,500, clear rental terms, an on-site manager who knows the space. No surprises
